The Carson and Barnes Circus was in town on Monday night, and we took in the show. There were elephant, camel, and pony rides and a petting zoo. Andrew chose to ride the camel. He smiled the whole time so he must have enjoyed. At the petting zoo, we got to see llamas, goats, a zebra and a hippo. We even ran into Judi and Duane T. and four of their grandchildren so we sat behind them.
The acts included clowns, tight rope walkers, motorcycle riders, horses, poodles, rope dancers, hula-hoop dancers, a very flexible young man, and elephants. Pretty much the typical circus performances. A smaller circus but very exciting. Andrew says his favorite part was the acrobats. They were really good and performed right in front of us. Grace's favorite part was the elephants. As we were walking to the car, she says, "I loved it! Bye Elephants. I loved it!" EXTREMELY hot and stuffy in the circus tent though. We had to break down and spend $2.5o for a bottle of water and $2.50 more for a snow cone. It was fun to go to the circus for myself too. Brought back some childhood memories. I am glad we went. Sorry no pictures.
