Andrew's Antics!

Andrew' homemade Spiderman costume. We worked pretty hard coloring and cutting out the mask and badge. And Yes that is a toy Spiderman tied to his wrist. Spiderman is going to help him shoot webs. He was upset that he forgot his gloves in the picture but was too busy to take another one.

The month of November was filled with Andrew stories. Here a few highlights. I am not the best of storyteller, and Mom's always think there children are so so funny and cute.

• We shopped last Saturday morning and Andrew sat on Santa's lap. Andrew told him what he wanted and Santa gave him a candy cane. We then went to the checkout. Andrew laid his candy cane on the counter, but I told him that Santa gave them too him. He got this surprised look, ran back about half way to Santa and yelled Thank You Santa and ran back to us.


• Andrew an I have been talking a lot about Kindergarten next year and trying to get him interested in academic things- you know the alphabet and numbers. So he asked where I would be at in the school when he was at Kindergarten. I said upstairs in my room. He says BUT Mommy you can only fit three or four kids up there. Your room is TOO small to teach kids. You only have the ITTY BITTY table. That just won't work for teaching kids. Andrew is so so right. My room is SMALL, only for about 4-6 kids, with a short table that is very narrow.


• Driving home in the dark a few nights these past weeks has taught Andrew to help look for deer. So he sits himself as high as he can in his car seat, and watches out the front window, and announces "that might be a deer up there mom, see the light." Then as we pass the light he says "just a sign." Now at first it was cute but after a while of a 45 mile trip it was a bit too cautious. Good thing for his good eyes on Thursday. We almost hit a deer if it wasn't for Andrew. He told me that I had to "be more careful cause deer can really WRECK the car. Closer to home that same night he tells this story to Grace. Something about that he can run just as fast as a deer, and catch it, and squeeze its neck. Even big bucks like Daddy's. ( which Michael did get a 188 lb. buck with an uneven rack of 5 and 6 points)


• Thanksgiving morning, I said "Happy Thanksgiving" to Andrew and he yells, "Yeeeaaah then tomorrow is Christmas Time!" Then runs around the house singing "its going to be Christmas time, Christmas time, Christmas time."


• Putting out some Christmas Nativity last weekend, Andrew was really really interested in the kings. He asked what the kings were caring. So we then talked about the kings and why they gave what they did. He then says "I couldn't have given baby Jesus those things. They are too expensive for me."
