Camping in the GREAT---------BACKYARD

Andrew and Michael went camping in the backyard this past Friday night. At first Andrew thought they were going "far far away because for camping you hike a long long ways with yours backpacks on" but then the backyard was OK. They worked on packing their backpacks in the morning-flashlights, snacks, cranola bars (Luke says their for camping), fishing stuff, camera and binoculars for looking at birds. Then they went shopping for a lantern, sleeping bag for Michael and comic books. At about 6:00 we set up the tent. Grace and I were told to "go in the house because you can't go camping with us." They ate sandwhiches for supper, took some pictures, played card games, went fishing, and then looked at comic books. They only came back inside once. After 10:30 Andrew asked to come inside and find his "comfy cozy bed" but Michael convinced him to sleep beside him and all was OK. They slept all night in the tent, and the next morning at about 7:30 Andrew came in the house with his back pack on and a huge grin on his face. I think they both had fun.

Sounds like a blast! A little father/son time is a good thing (for mommies too!).
