Well, any way, this is what our family has been up to the last few weeks.
Michael has been putting in some extra hours at work too. Back to school sales started July 1.
Mowing the lawn and keeping it watered has kept him busy in the evenings. He enjoyed the movie Transformers (even went twice) and liked the Simpson's movie too.
As for myself, I have been cleaning house- closets, walls - you know the fun stuff. The push for the major cleaning was to get ready for a rummage sale we had last weekend. We sold some stuff but not enough so we are going to set up shop for this weekend too. The garden and flowers have kept me busy watering and weeding. If only there was a way to water the plants and not the weeds so the weeds would die. Ahh and yes the kids and I have spent one or two days a week at school getting things organized and decorated. Kids love it at school. Andrew runs around like he owns the school and mommy has lots of books and papers for Grace to look at and "organize" on the floor.
We have had some company too. Jeremy has spent a couple Sundays and Mondays with us to get his car repaired. He even went to a park with us and treated us to McDonald's breakfast.
Then just this past Monday Sara had work here in town so we had pizza and went swimming at her hotel. We had a blast especially Andrew. He jumped right in the pool-floaty on. He swam in the deep end and jumped in many times to "get the biggest splash ever." Grace was a little timid but did alright.
Getting dressed in his costumes is a lot of fun.
What else?
Running in the sprinkler,
Running in the sprinkler,
(most of the time in appropriate attire)
She is walking more and more, but still has not mastered standing without the aide of something.
She has been playing a lot with the carnival beads-pretties for little girls. Her favorite toys are things she can put inside each other.
It must be all the summer sun that is making her hair grow and get blonder and blonder. But fun to fix. She will leave a pretty barrette in her hair for a good two or three seconds most of the time. Sometimes the pretty will stay most of the morning.
She is a messy little girl at that. When she eats, she must play with her hair, and I think I will wear out the kitchen floor scrubbing it after she eats. Grace also loves the water from the sprinkler an the dirt in the garden and flower beds. Let me tell you, the water and dirt make a good combination.
Now you know what we have been up to lately. We hope everyone else enjoyed their July. Now that August is officially here.
