Aloha!!!! Kindergarten Celebration
Our first born has completed kindergarten. (sniffle sniffle sob sob) Andrew's Kindergarten Celebration and last day of Kind. was on May 1st. The theme was Aloha with the Chick Chick Boom Boom book as their main performance. Andrew was in the Three Little Kittens play too. He was so adorable and said his lines loud and clear with expression yet too. He just might have some acting talent in him that he didn't inherit from either his mother or father. His teacher did a little interview with each student before they got their certificate. She asked Andrew what his favorite letter was. In the morning performance he said B and named somethings that start with b, but in the afternoon, he through her for a loop and said Z.
He had a wonderful creative caring teacher, plus a really nice aide whom adored Andrew. Andrew just loved both of them. I am still amazed at every thing he learned this year. He has a good foundation in reading and will not have a hard time learning to read next year. He can read a little bit right now and is so excited to learn more. Math on the other hand might be a little tougher for him. Just this week driving home he counted for me. 1, 2, 3 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 30, 40 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100. Typical learner - teach them something new and the something learned gets mixed up.
I am excited to help him maintain what he learned and learn more things this summer.
